- What is Giving Day?
- Transylvania University #TogetherForTransy Giving Day 2019 is a one-day online fundraising drive on March 28, 2019. It’s a day for alumni, parents, students, faculty and staff, and friends from all over the world to come together to give back and celebrate why they love Transy.
- Why is a Giving Day different than any other day?
- Giving Day is special because we will be hosting several different challenges throughout the day. Thanks to a our generous challenge donors every gift made will have an even bigger impact. This will truly be a way for us all to come #TogetherForTransy.
- How can my gift be counted towards Giving Day?
- On March 28, 2019 come to this page, together.transy.edu, and make a gift online! You can participate in one of our challenges throughout the day. We will also be accepting donations over the phone from 8 a.m.-9 p.m. EST, just call us at 800-487-2679 and we can process your gift for you.
- What if I have already made a gift this fiscal year?
- Thank you for choosing to support Transylvania University! We appreciate your commitment and encourage you to make another participatory gift during a Giving Day challenge that inspires you. We also really need your help promoting Giving Day to your network. Learn more about ways you can do that here.
- Can anyone participate in Giving Day?
- Definitely! Support from everyone in the Transy community counts on this day.
- Where does my gift go?
- Your gift designation is your choice! While this day is focused on Annual Giving and the huge importance of the role it plays in the daily life and success of Transylvania, any gift to any designation will count. Just click Give Now, and select where you’d like to designate your gift within the online giving form.
- Can I make a gift by cash or check on Giving Day?
- Yes. Checks should be made out to Transylvania University and indicate in the memo line the gift designation. On Giving Day, checks and cash can be delivered in person from 8:30 a.m.- 7 p.m. EST at the Alumni and Development Office at 415 North Broadway, Lexington, KY 40508.
- Can I make a pledge?
- Yes. Any pledge made on March 28, 2019 and fulfilled by the end of the fiscal year, June 28, 2018, will be counted for Giving Day and will count towards the challenge.
- Is my payment secure?
- Yes. All payments will be processed using a secure online giving form. The information collected during Giving Day will be used only by Transylvania University.
- Will my gift be tax-deductible?
- Yes, your gift to Transylvania University is tax-deductible and you will receive a gift receipt within the weeks following Giving Day.
- Where does the challenge money come from?
- Our challenges are from alumni, parents, and friends of the University. Thank you to these donors for allowing us to create the opportunity to inspire and motivate the Transy community through exciting challenges!
- Can I give more than one time or to more than one challenge?
- Absolutely! Your impact will be that much greater when you participate in several challenges!
- How can I help spread the word?
- This Giving Day we need your help to make it a success. Become a #TogetherForTransy rallier and post about our Giving Day on all of your social networks using #TogetherForTransy and together.transy.edu. You can also sign up to be a Giving Day Rallier and you’ll be included in receiving the latest info to share with your networks.

Transy Giving Day
